Travel Instructions

Traveling to Washington, D.C.:

Planes

Washington D.C. has two main airports: Ronald Reagan Airport (DCA) and Dulles Airport (IAD). DCA offers connections for domestic travelers, and is only a 15 minute drive from Georgetown University. IAD offers both domestic and international connections, and is located 30 minutes from central D.C.

If neither of these airports offer your desired flight, the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is also a great domestic and international option.

Trains

Amtrak is a great option for those located throughout the Northeast Corridor, connecting many cities to D.C.’s Union Station. All Amtrak trains have free wifi and luggage space. They also offer multiple journeys throughout the day, so there are plenty of options to suit your personal travel needs.

To get from Union Station to Georgetown using public transportation, please choose the D80 bus route.
